HANOI, June 27 (Bernama) -- A Vietnam-Laos tourism centre will be built in Hanoi in a move to further promoting the traditional friendship and exchange between the two countries, the Vietnam news agency (VNA) reported.
The project is part of the Hanoi-based Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association's five-year development plan, beginning this year until 2012, which was put forward at its third congress held in the city on June 26.
During the current tenure, the association will focus on speeding up exchange activities aiming to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Laos as well as fortify the economic, cultural and educational cooperation between the two countries in general and the two capital cities in particular.
