Lao air plane crashed !

Just now I listened to the Lao radio online, and they reported that Lao airplane crashed today due to the engine troubles.

2 pilots, and 11 passengers (8 Laotians and 3 foreigners) took a flight LLL 200 Vientiane-Xamneur on 11th April 2009, departed from Wattay international airport at 10:00 Oclock. When the airplane was flying across Toulakhom district, Vientiane province, the engine suddenly stopped, and the pilot decided to have an emergency land to the rice field. Luckily, all passengers were safe, but all the suitcases were completely damaged.

I think the news will be reported tomorrow in all Lao newspaper.

What do you think about this news ?

What I read is that the small airplane made an emergency landing in Ban Kuen airport. Not a crash landing. No further details.

I think the company has to compensate some money for all passengers in that plane, it is not only about the suitcases they lost in the plane, but to cure their heart and minds.

hmm

ummm... I really have no comment about this b'cos even I am Lao but I never taking Lao airplane to travel within the country or go oversea. Our national airline's planes are so very olddddddd and looks danger to fly with. Frankly tell you guys that I really dare not to take.

It's not that I not support Lao national airline but it's all about safety

On international  flights, Lao airlines use the new aircaft MA60 from xi'an china, you should try your next trip, it is more comfortable than Being 737

I don't think that it's about them having no brains, it's about them being SELFISH!

I went back to Laos couple years back, flying Lao plane from Thailand to Laos was scary.  The planes are old.  Just hearing them start up gives me a chill already.

People seem to look down Lao airplane condition, But have you ever heard that Lao airplane clashed last four or five years. I am in Laos, I have never heard about it. In fact, what I heard regularly is in those industrialized countries like: USA, France, UK....

You know, sometime scary man never hurt a man, but the calm man hurt people without their consciousness.

That is because the number of flights in Laos is too minimal so the chance of getting crashes is not great compare to the number of flights in U.S, UK, France are in millions per day. Do you have any brain and do you undestand the ratio?

the airplane flies very low, you can see the earth early and without lots turbulence , this is what I called it " comfortable feelinh"

MA60 made in China or Russia ummm...If you dare to take please go ahead but not for me and my family please. Just feel of unconfortable mind to take and feel  of unsafe even Lao Airline have agreement or insurance but my life have more valuable than to die so easier with this old plane and no name.

ummm... I knew that you could die anytime or anywhere but if you wont take any risky and mee sa-ti, this will help you a lot.

This year since January 1st till today of April 26 I already taken flight quite frequently. Vientiane-Bangkok-Dubai-Bangkok-Vientiane, Vientiane-Bangkok-Singapore-Bangkok-Vientiane, Vientiane-Hanoi-Vientiane, Vientiane-Bangkok-Singapore-Tokyo-Osaka-Singapore-Bangkok-Vientiane and on this coming June, I'm going to Dubai and Qatar again on business trip.

That's why I don't wanna count how often I'm taking and I don't like to show-off my status to public

I wish you good luck and wish the unlucky day of a crash of no name aircraft with cheapest claims won't come to you der ai
